Vision is a core belief in my design philosophy. An authentic idea which comes from the influence of the world around you, but ultimately, it is how you shape it into your own vision. These first vinyls play with my own photography and craft an eerie identity from its blurry imagery to distressed error text. The prints weren't created in the hopes of making them into vinyls, but my taste in artists and how their album artwork is far more effective physically, as opposed to on an app, led me to frame my art into a vinyl mockup.

Perception strikes a far more punk vinyl as opposed to Vision. The bright pink and the Sex Pistols influenced title, which helps the vinyl differ from its predecessor. Every citizen of every country will consume the world differently and draw their own conclusions, and I wanted that nod in the photography I selected. The tunnel imagery on the back may draw discomfort from some people, and others may be intrigued as to what lies beyond the darkness. Perception is a human trait and a key principle in my art.

The final design of my brutalist-inspired vinyls relies on the last word in my ethos. Escape. Every small detail within the vinyl I designed on Photoshop draws on that theme. The location where I took these photos was an escape from the business of life and urban environments to an abandoned location, which felt still and frozen in time. The colours were an escape from my usual colour palette, and the typography differs from sentence to sentence to offer my audience an escape from traditional prints.
